Ensure checks, cashier’s checks, or money orders are made payable to the City of Lawndale.

Paying in Person

Business hours for in-person payments are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Thursday.

Paying Online

Customers submitting applications by email have the option to request to pay with credit/debit card online. Staff will email the applicant an online invoice that will be paid through the Converge portal.

Note: We currently do not have the capability of accepting payments over the phone.

Submitting by Email

To submit permit applications, plans, and other attachments, email your files to:

Important Notes:

  • Include the project address in the subject line to help track emails.
  • Allow 1–2 business days for a response (excluding Fridays, weekends, and holidays).
  • The file limit for attachments is 25 MB. If your attachments exceed this limit, use a file-sharing service such as Dropbox, Google Drive, iCloud, or Microsoft OneDrive, and provide a share link that grants access to the files.
  • Submit PDF copies of plans and documents. Photos should be saved as JPEG or PNG.

Submitting in Person

Submit your applications, plans, and other documentation in person at City Hall between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday – Thursday.

Important Notes:

  • If submitting physical copies of plans, please drop off three sets on 24”x36” sheets and one set on 11"x17" sheets.
  • Digital copies of plans are highly preferred.
  • Ensure all forms and applications are signed by both the property owner and the applicant to avoid delays in processing.
