Permitted Construction Hours

Monday - Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday and City observed holidays: No work allowed!

Report Unpermitted Construction

To report construction being performed outside of the permitted hours or report work being done without permits, contact the Code Enforcement Department at (310) 973-3220.

As of May 6, 2019, roof material must comply with the LA County Cool Roof Technical Requirements.

The Solar Reflectance Index (SRI) must be a minimum of twenty or above.

Applications, payments, and submittals are accepted Monday-Thursday: 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Building Plan Check

Call (310) 973-3236 for information about Building Plan Check services. In person services are available only on Tuesdays from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
