City of Lawndale, CA

CleanStreet is the City’s official street sweeping service provider. This program is an important part of the City’s efforts to meet federal Clean Water Act requirements. Regular street sweeping helps keep our community clean by removing debris and pollutants before they can enter storm drains and reach our local beaches.

  Street Sweeping Schedule

 Residential Areas

     Swept once a week between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

  Hawthorne Blvd:

     Swept five times a week, Monday through Friday, between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m..

  Business District (excluding Hawthorne Blvd):

     Swept twice a week.

  Alleys:

    Swept once a week.

  Median Islands:

    Swept every other week.

  Public Parking Lots:  

    Swept every other week.

Holiday Schedule

 Street sweeping will not take place on the following holidays:

New Year’s Day

 Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Presidents Day

César Chávez Day

Memorial Day

Juneteenth Day

Independence Day (July 4th)

Labor Day

Veterans Day

Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after Thanksgiving

Christmas Day

RAINY DAYS

Street sweeping may be cancelled on rainy days. For updates on sweeping schedules, please visit  the City's News and Announcements for the latest information.
